Our debut collection was designed with a number of inspiring women in mind, who define the words beauty and strength. In this collection, I wanted to find that delicate balance point between form and function. The goal was to make outfits in which a woman looks and feels powerful, sexy and feminine like the women each garment is named for. So naturally, when we began storyboarding our lookbook, we wanted the photos to carry that same theme.
We worked with photographer Jenna Alcala and her team to find a setting that would provide the backdrop, and a theme that would capture the mood of the collection. We found it in a loft, above a bar in downtown Riverside, CA. The unfinished wood floors, and the exposed beams and brick gave the space just the raw edginess and texture we wanted. The next step was to find a girl who had the look, and presence that we set out to capture. Enter the painfully gorgeous Annie McGinty. One of our sayings is ‘heart of a lion and face of an angel.’ Annie unquestionably has both of those qualities and we loved her free spirit and sense of humor. She made the photographer and crew’s job pretty easy that day. Oh and I stood in for a few looks as well :)
With Queen Bey serenading our team the lookbook was shot, and we wrapped the day feeling blessed to have worked with such a talented team and to have made new friends. Check out the lookbook and shop the collection, which is live now.
Special thanks to our team
